Egyptian Cotton

The quality of cotton depends on the length of the fibres, known as staples. The longer the staple - the better the cotton. Before spinning the cotton is combed to remove dirt and particles trapped in the fibres. Combing straightens and untangles the cotton fibres ready for spinning. After combing only the longest staples are left ready for spinning and weaving, these make the strongest and finest fabric. The result is a fabric which is softer and more luxurious than any other.
